239 Rock the Vote - Canceled

This event is aimed to create a sense of empowerment around voting and civic engagement. As the election draws closer, local grassroot organizations have teamed up with the Dunbar Festival Committee to host this event as a get out to vote initiative complete with food, entertainment, and family fun activities.  This is a joint collaboration with the Lee County Democratic Black Caucus.

The election fair will provide the community with an opportunity to meet local candidates, acquire voter’s information, and resources. 239 Rock the Vote will be held on Saturday, August 6 at Roberto Clemente Park from 3:00-6:00 pm. We hope that you will be willing to join us for this unique opportunity to highlight the importance of voting, strengthen civic engagement, political power, and positively influence the way community members view politics.  Be prepared to expect a celebratory day of inclusion, music and entertainment, information, resources, and food.
