June is Pride Month; however, due to the heat Fort Myers holds their Pride Event in October. Because we want all to remember what June means for the LGBTQ+ Community, the Lee County LGBTQ+ Dems Caucus will hold its first annual Pride Ride in downtown Fort Myers. With our automobiles decorated, we will ride through downtown Fort Myers to show our Pride and Support of the LGBTQ+ Community.
If you would like to participate, meet at the Downtown Library located at 2450 First Street, Fort Myers, Florida at 4 pm to assist in auto decorations. A few decorations will be supplied, but please feel free to bring your own. Soon thereafter, we will caravan through downtown Fort Myers.
Maps of the route will be provided at the event.
Note: as this is not an "official" parade, we must abide by all traffic laws (stopping at stop signs and traffic lights) during this event.
